User experience first
Architecture succeeds only when people can work securely, reliably and productively.
Specialist technology services since 2006
There is a better way to work. Thintech designs, delivers, hosts, secures and operates the environments people depend on to work.
We began as specialist Citrix consultants. Today, that End User Computing depth extends across the complete user, cloud, infrastructure, security and managed-service experience.
Our story
Thintech was founded in 2006 with a clear belief: virtual desktops and applications could create a better working experience, but only when they were designed around real users rather than vendor promises.
From the beginning, the focus was on the difficult parts - performance, profiles, printing, applications, capacity, resilience and the operational details that determine whether people trust or resent their technology.
As customer environments became more connected, the work expanded. The desktop depended on identity, networking, storage, security, cloud services, physical endpoints, monitoring, backup and responsive support. Thintech expanded with it.
The technology has changed. The principle has not: understand the user, understand the complete service and take responsibility for the outcome.
Technology should adapt to the people and organisations using it.
The Thintech journey
The milestones below show how Thintech expanded from specialist Citrix consultancy into complete technology operations.
Before Thintech
Thintech grew from practical consulting experience across Citrix, Microsoft, networking, virtualisation and business-critical technology. The recurring lesson was clear: a technically installed platform is not necessarily a service that works for users.
2006
The company begins as a specialist Citrix and desktop-virtualisation consultancy, focused on making virtual applications and desktops perform reliably for real people.
Enterprise delivery
Work expands across finance, government, healthcare, legal, insurance and other complex environments. Thintech has since delivered, managed or supported more than 100,000 desktops.
Methods formalised
Delivery, validation and profile-management knowledge is developed into TDM, TRE and TPMM so that hard-won engineering experience can be applied consistently without forcing every customer into the same answer.
Responsibility expands
As customers ask Thintech to remain involved, capability grows across specialist support, hosted desktops, managed services, endpoints, monitoring, security, backup and Linux operations.
18 May 2026
Thintech Services Ltd achieves ISO 27001:2022 certification for its information security management system, with a scope covering enterprise IT managed services, End User Computing, application hosting and cloud and desktop virtualisation for regulated mid-market industries.
Today
Citrix and End User Computing remain central. Thintech now applies that specialist depth across local, virtual, hosted, cloud and managed infrastructure, from first discovery through continuing improvement.
What we believe
Whether an application runs locally, in a virtual desktop, through a published application, from private infrastructure or as a cloud service is an architectural decision. The user should experience reliable technology that helps them work securely and productively.
Architecture succeeds only when people can work securely, reliably and productively.
We investigate the complete service and follow the evidence before recommending change.
We identify what is working, explain what needs attention and give customer teams a practical route forward.
We do not want to leave a customer holding a report, an unresolved fault or a platform nobody can operate.
Local, virtual, hosted and cloud services are delivery choices. The right answer depends on the user and the business.
Identity, access, resilience, backup, monitoring and operational control must be considered from the beginning.
We document what we deliver and help customer teams understand the environment and the decisions behind it.
Good environments are monitored, reviewed and improved as user needs, risks and technology change.
Purpose in practice
Mission in practice
Judge the technology by the experience, control and value it creates for the people and organisation using it.
Long-term direction
Keep connecting specialist expertise, secure infrastructure and continuing accountability around business-critical environments.
Our difference
Thintech is comfortable working across interconnected technical and operational layers while being clear about scope, evidence and ownership.
We do not stop at the Citrix console, the Windows desktop, the cloud portal or the monitoring alert. The user experience is created by every connected layer working together.
Thintech maintains relationships and expertise across major technology vendors. We work with existing investments where they remain appropriate and recommend change for a clear technical, operational or commercial reason.
A project can move into specialist support, hosting or managed operations. That continuity retains knowledge and helps the environment keep improving after go-live.
Monitoring, security, backup, documentation, recovery, support and service acceptance are part of the design, not tasks left for somebody else after installation.
Thintech intellectual property
Engineering experience has value when it can be explained, governed, reused and improved. Thintech has converted practical knowledge into methods, reference capability, documentation and operational know-how.
TDM
Thintech's delivery framework structures discovery, requirements, design, validation, implementation, acceptance and transition. It creates repeatability and governance without reducing every customer to the same template.
Used to connect business requirements, technical decisions, controlled change, documentation and operational handover.TRE
A controlled reference and validation capability used where agreed to compare known-good configuration, reproduce faults and test change before it reaches production.
It supports design assurance, fault reproduction, upgrade testing, change evidence and lower-risk technical decisions.TPMM
Thintech's specialist profile-management methodology was developed from practical experience of user personalisation, logon behaviour, application settings and operating-system change.
Its role is to bring control and consistency to the parts of the user experience that conventional profiles often make difficult. How we work
TDM connects the evidence, decisions, controlled delivery and operational acceptance. The emphasis changes by engagement; the discipline does not.
Learn the business, users, applications, constraints, risks and existing investments.
Gather technical evidence, interview stakeholders and document the current environment.
Establish root causes, dependencies, risks, strengths and opportunities.
Create secure, resilient and supportable architecture aligned with business requirements.
Test the important assumptions, changes and migration approach where appropriate.
Implement through controlled change, clear communication, testing and rollback planning.
Validate the result, document the environment and transfer knowledge.
Support, monitor, secure and continually improve the resulting service where agreed.
What we do
The services support the story rather than replace it. They can stand alone or connect into a longer relationship from discovery to operation.
Understand and change
Use evidence-led consultancy and assurance to define the problem, protect sound existing investment and deliver controlled change.
Support and improve
Add responsive engineering capacity or continuing endpoint responsibility without losing sight of the complete user experience.
Operate and host
Combine infrastructure, hosting, support, security and operations around the scope the organisation actually needs.
Experience where technology has to work
Thintech has delivered consultancy, projects and services across finance, government, healthcare, legal, insurance and other business-critical environments.
Local government
Experience includes secure flexible working, desktop and application delivery, mobility and service improvement across distributed public-sector environments.
Financial and regulated services
Thintech has worked with business-critical applications, sensitive information, complex dependencies and operational requirements where evidence and governance cannot be optional.
Healthcare, legal and professional services
The work often sits between users, demanding applications, security, suppliers and infrastructure that must remain dependable while it changes.
Common conditions include distributed sites, remote workers, sensitive information, specialist applications, legacy systems, high-availability needs, migrations and multi-supplier environments.
